Deleteted repeated sentence[edit]

I deleted the info on his Karting championships on the bottom of the page, becouse it says it on the top. at the begininng

Gow/Crompton management[edit]

This is a debatable subject. Gow has funded Courtney's entire career from formula ford onwards. Where the confusion lies in this, however, is that Crompton discovered Courtney in his karting days and 'passed him on' to Alan Gow. I have good information that Crompton is his advisor in Aus., suitably because Mr. Gow resides in the UK and the time differences interfere.

Gow laid out the cash and made the big decisions. I would give him the credit where the credit is due, in my opinion.

Ok, I have done a comprehensive re-write, but it will need some more fine tuning and more detailed info regarding some of his highlights throughout his career, IMO. We could work together on this perhaps?

Edit request on March 4, 2021[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. [see below]

Information to be added or removed: Information regarding the Jaguar F1 testing crash has contradictory causes stated within two sections. Cause to be clarified/confirmed and respective section to be edited with correct cause.

Explanation of issue: Introduction states that the crash was caused by a rear wing failure; "Injuries from a high-speed test crash at Monza in 2002, due to failure of the rear wing on the Jaguar F1 car".

Jaguar F1 Testing Crash sub-section states that the crash was caused by a rear suspension failure; "While testing for the Jaguar Racing Formula One team in Monza in 2002, the rear suspension failed on Courtney's car, sending him into the barrier at 306 km/h."

@Ferkjl:I thought I made it pretty clear? The page states that the cause of the accident was a "failure of the rear wing" in one section, and then in another section, it states that the accident was "caused by a rear suspension failure".. I am not sure which one of the "causes" is correct (rear wing failure or rear suspension failure), which is why I have made the edit request; for someone to confirm which one of the two is correct, and adjust the incorrect one accordingly. @HeartGlow30797: See response to above comment. I'm not sure how I can make this any clearer.

The introduction states "Injuries from a high-speed test crash at Monza in 2002, due to failure of the rear wing on the Jaguar F1 car...".
In Body Section 1; "Jaguar F1 testing crash", the first sentence states; "While testing for the Jaguar Racing Formula One team in Monza in 2002, the rear suspension failed on Courtney's car, ...".

As a result, you have TWO conflicting reasons for the accident occurring -

A failure of the rear wing, and
A failure of the rear suspension

Which of the two causes is correct? Was the crash caused by a rear wing failure, or was the crash caused by a suspension failure? I don't know the answer, hence the reason for the edit request. Someone who knows the correct cause can change the incorrect cause in the respective section that the incorrect cause is in. Ryanokeefe12 (talk) 13:12, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
