This article is tightly related to the article on Dragon NaturallySpeaking software and should reference it. As I wrote on the Talk page for Dragon NaturallySpeaking, James K. Baker, while a doctoral student at Carnegie-Mellon University, invented what is now known as the "Hierarchical Markov Method" and built a successful speech recognition system based on HMM that he called the "Dragon System". His HMM technology is at the heart of all modern speech recognition systems, including Apple Siri. The company founded by Baker and his wife, "Dragon Systems", developed and sold multiple versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Baker and his wife lost ownership of their company through financial shenanigans that are discussed on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking page, but the product still continues to exist as of this date.LM6407 (talk) 06:54, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
