I am the great-grandson of James Stanley Freeman. This article contains erroneous information.
While he was both wealthy and broke several times during his life, I cannot state with certainty that he was ever a millionaire. But he did not make money in the stock market: he made money mostly through real estate and mineral rights investments.
James Stanley Freeman and his wife Willie Lee Shepherd had three sons: James Shepherd Freeman (my grandfather) Lucius Gaines Freeman William Stanley Freeman
How do I get this mis-information corrected?
