Infobox

The infobox used is for road bicycle racers, and is being deprecated as it's being replaced by a new generic cyclist box. Either way, the infobox here is out of place. I don't want to just delete it - can somebody find the right one (or make one if need be)? Mk3severo 23:49, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

We don't have one at WP motorcycling. We might ahve one for Road Race (MOto GP), but defintly not MX, its way down my to do list i'm afriad! Pickle 15:49, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

"Dominate", vs "Success", vs "Any success"

Any opinions and comments as to what the article should read as? In my opinion, "any success" sounds racist, as if it were some huge surprise that an African-American actually had success in the sport of motocross. "Success" could suffice and provides the gray-area between the two other options. Looking at results, though, it appears to me as "dominate" is the best fit for the article, as quite honestly that is what James Stewart is doing now. He is the one to beat, and everyone in the motocross/supercross world knows it. So, personal opinion aside, for the integrity of the article, which adjective is best? "pre-jumping"

I have never heard it referred to as pre-jumping. In the world of motocross and supercross, it is called pre-loading. The suspension is compressed by sitting down off of a jump instead of standing which releases when the bike leaves the jump. This causes the bike to jump off of the face of the ramp more increasing the vertical height and therefore making it easier to clear a double, triple, or tabletop.

It was commonly called pre-jumping in early 90s, this is where they find a small bump before the apex of the jump, they would jump off the bump (instead of the apex) jumping over the apex and getting back on the ground faster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.119.96.254 (talk) 15:54, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

Is the actor the primary use of the name, "James Stewart"?

There is a discussion going on about moving the James Stewart dab page to James Stewart (disambiguation) to make room for moving James Stewart (actor) to James Stewart on the basis that the actor is the primary meaning of "James Stewart".

That would mean anyone looking for the topic of this article by searching for "James Stewart" would get sent to the article about the actor rather than to the dab page.

Wendell Scott

Wendell Scott 495 NASCAR Grand National races, 147 top 10 finishes, 1 win in 13 years. He had other wins before getting into NASCAR. This was back when the S in NASCAR really meant Stock car instead of the purpose built race cars used since the late 1980s. Scott was indeed a great man on a number of counts, both from his achievements and simply through who he was. But your "only black driver to compete in more than one NASCAR race" might be disputed by both Bill Lester and Willy T. Ribbs.
