There are some mistakes:

  • Czechoslowakia had not any ministry of Airlways (he cannot to be minister of it)
  • in military archive is not any message about his promotion to generale

Standpoint[edit]

My sources with reference to the story "Jan Bervida" based upon the following Informations:

The Congress of the United Staates (ISBN 3857785 US Congress Library).

Jožka Pejskar: "Poslední pocta" (The Last Honour), encyclopedia, Baltimor, Maryland 1989, pages 11 - 13, Jan Bervida, Armygeneral in Reserve. His official service title was since 20th August 1929: Super Ministry Commissar in the function as Minister of the Czechoslovakian Civilian Airways, allthough a Ministry of Civilian Airways didn't exists. The Civilian Airways were a part of the Public Works Ministry (1918-38).
