Pen Name?[edit]

I believe that she used Cora Montgomery as her pen name during her journalistic career. Question is the period she used it.

Son's Legal Name[edit]

Anyone doing proper research on people will search for cross references and legal documents, and not fixate on one document that is not accurate. Her son, William Mont Storm, aka William M. Storm, aka William Storm, aka William Montstorm, aka William Montgomery Storm.

US Patent #7,992 dated 4 Feb 1851 - William M. Storm; US Patent #8,070 dated 29 Apr 1851 - William M. Storm; US Patent #15,090 dated 10 Jun 1856 - William Mont. Storm; US Patent #15,307 dated 8 Jul 1857 - William Mt. Storm - only incidence of his name in this form; US Patent #18,613 dated 10 Nov 1857 - William M. Storm; US Patent #24,414 dated 14 Jun 1859 - William Mont Storm; US Patent #25,147 dated 16 Aug 1859 - William Mont. Storm; US Patent #28,111 dated 1 May 1860 - Wm. Mont. Storm; US Patent #33,611 dated 29 Oct 1861 - Wm. Mont Storm; US Patent #48,777 dated 11 Jul 1865 - Wm. Mont Storm; US Patent #122,137 dated 26 Dec 1871 - William Mont Storm; and so on and so forth.

However, a real legal document would have been his passport application, dated 3 Aug 1860, giving his name as William Mont Storm. Most newspaper accounts do refer to him in this manner as well.
