Proposed merger[edit]

I don't feel that a merger is the right thing to do. Either keep the separate page or rename this page to Murder of Chris Hani or something Gbawden (talk) 09:00, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Gbawden: merging this page with Chris Hani would not be the right thing to do. Perpetrators have a seperate page when:

The victim of the crime is a renowned national or international figure, including, but not limited to, politicians or celebrities.
The motivation for the crime or the execution of the crime is unusual—or has otherwise been considered noteworthy—such that it is a well-documented historic event. Generally, historic significance is indicated by sustained coverage of the event in reliable secondary sources which persists beyond contemporaneous news coverage and devotes significant attention to the individual's role WP:CRIME

Calling Chris Hani a "victim" is quite rich, given that he was the leader of the Communist party and its terrorist wing Umkhonto we Sizwe. --154.69.16.217 (talk) 00:48, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
