I was going to add this external link (below) to the Japa page, but then I noticed the instruction that no links should be added without prior discussion. This link may be of special interest as a nonsectarian presentation of japa by a well-respected Hindu teacher in the west (born 1911, died 1999).

What are the guidelines that regulate external links in a page such as this?

For guidelines see Wikipedia:External links. Does anyone have any particular objections to this link being included as a general summary on Japa? Regards, Gouranga(UK) 08:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article does not explain the significance of the number 108, the meaning of the head bead, or even the purpose of the beads. Is one chant made per bead?70.29.78.2 (talk) 08:28, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is a complaint that the "See Also" section is prolix. I think that the section should be left unmolested. I found that section most helpful doing research in this subject, and I am sure that I will not be the only reader who does.
