very poor quality for an article of importance[edit]

nobody could come up with any more than this? i'll come back when i can but... do a "variety show" search at Japan Times and you ought find volumes (i'll make a quick search now while i have at least a minute)... i know the problems with articles like this are about reporting Japanese topics to an English speaking readership, but seeing as this article is rated "high-importance" i think contributors should pay more attention to this than, say, the minutiae of AKB48~ Japanglish (talk) 15:38, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Contributing[edit]

I agree with the person before on how there isn't a lot of information on this topic when it can be a really important topic. I am currently enrolled in a course in university where I am to take up an article and edit it and I chose this one. I would like to try to contribute and add more information to make this a better topic. I have a few sources I will be using to contribute to this for anything I add. I would like to add a history section because I think that is rather important to see how Japanese Variety shows even came to be. I also would like to add more shows to the list since I am sure there are plenty out there. I also would like to add a section to try and compare U.S. Shows Vs Japanese Variety shows and see what makes Japanese variety shows more popular and if they are actually more popular. I will list the sources I plan on using and if anyone else is working on this and has any advice on more sources that would be helpful.
