Memories[edit]

I think that discussion pages are sometimes used to help flesh out articles, not necessarily for discussing whether or not to include information to improve the article. I'm sure researchers read discussion pages in case they come across an anecdotal gem or two. My way of saying, while we are still in the craziness of the Wimbledon season, that Jaroslav was my hero back in 1948 when I played at Junior Wimbledon. I too was a left-hander, and tried to copy Jaroslav with his googly deliveries, especially top spin serves from behind his head. At times, he was known to slip his hand down the neck of his racquet, and serve underarm, giving the ball a wicked spin to confound the opposition.
