PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year in 2005[edit]

The info box lists Jay Haas as winning the 2005 PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year Award. This is almost impossible to believe since Jay Haas hardly played at all on the PGA tour that season and had very little success. There are also a few other wiki pages that list Haas as winning that award. But the 2005 in golf page lists Olin Browne as the 2005 PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year (which makes a lot of sense). Haas is listed on that page as winning the 2005 Champions Tour Rookie of the Year Award (which also makes a lot of sense).

So I did a little digging. USA Today wrote an article on the PGA annual awards for 2005. It too lists Browne as the PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year and Haas as the Champions Tour Rookie of the Year. Here is the link. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/golf/pga/2005-12-06-woods-award_x.htm

There are also other articles/press releases/references stating that Olin Browne was 2005 PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year. So I am 100% certain that it was Browne and not Haas that won that award.

Accordingly, I think it is correct to make edits to the wiki pages that refer to Haas as the Comeback Player of the Year and change them to Olin Browne. But I don't know what the protocol is for this situation. Whosnext23 (talk) 09:31, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
