Tours[edit]

I understand that Wikipedia can be a complex world in which to move - I learn something new everyday - but as you will have realised, there are very strict guidelines regarding not only layout of articles, but most especially the need to be able to verify sources.

Articles must be suitably referenced and original research is not accepted unless published in "serious" media. Are there any publications, books, articles you can cite so we can credit your research? It doesn't matter if they are only available in Danish - translations are acceptable, within reason, here.

I don't know if you have time to check it out, but I'll post the following link so you can see the basic stuff, and if you think there is anything I can help you out with, please let me know on my talk page (click where it says talk after my name). Jazz at the Philharmonic and Norman Granz.[edit]

Hello Technopat.

Thank you for your answer. I have studied Jazz at the Philharmonic, and Norman Granz for 45 years, and I have presented the wonderful JATP jam session music, many times, on Radio Denmark and Radio Sweden. I arranged, in Denmark, in 2006, together with The Institute of Jazz Studies (Dan Morgenstern and Tad Hershorn), and a danish jazz friend, the first Exhibition in the world about Norman Granz, Jazz at the Philharmonic, and the famous painter David Stone Martin, who did many very fine covers for Norman Granz's record labels. The Exhibition was based on my collection: A collection of very rare records, concert programs, DSM covers, posters, adverts, autographs, original art work, unissued JATP recordings, films, photos, magazines, books and other memorabilia. We issued a very fine Exhibition Catalogue (text in English and Danish). There are extensive articles by Tad Hershorn, Mogens Larsen and me, in the Exhibition Catalogue, about Jazz at the Philharmonic, Norman Granz, and David Stone Martin. As an expert on Jazz at the Philharmonic, I have researched on the JATP tours and JATP recordings.

Hello. I have mentioned Michel Ruppli's and Bob Porter's very fine book on Norman Granz' labels and JATP, plus my own articles and Radio Broadcasts!! Is Ruppli's and Porter's book (and broadcasts on Radio Denmark) not a reliable source?? Are you an expert on JATP, and Norman Granz?? I am an internationally recognized expert on Jazz at the Philharmonic, and Norman Granz. I have studied JATP and Norman Granz for 40 years!! "Broadcasts on Radio Denmark" is not a reliable source, no. A particular program broadcast on Radio Denmark, on the other hand, might be -- but not if you just continue handwaving with "oh, some bit of information in the article was mentioned in one of these two-dozen shows". Hello. My series of 68 Radio Broadcasts on Radio Denmark, about Jazz, Jazz at the Philharmonic and Norman Granz were entitled: "Jam Session"!! Under Ref., I have mentioned the name of the particular Radio Broadcast: "Jam Session", and the number, month and year!! Plus, of course, the famous book by Michel Ruppli and Bob Porter!
