Songs[edit]

I was just wondering what the song is that Lisa and Bart play at the Jazz Club. I hear it all the time but never can pinpoint the name of the song. RasstheLenek 00:40, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was also wondering what song was playing while Lisa was gathering the animals. It would be nice if this was included.

It was the song "Little Green Bag" by the George Baker Selection RasstheLenek 16:20, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So, let's make a list (all featured songs, in chronological order). --A.M.L. 22:05, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Bart playing the drums: The Hardest Button to Button
  • Kids play some music: ???
  • Lisa and Bart play: Take Five
  • Bart plays: Big Noise From Winnetka
  • Lisa gathering the animals: Little Green Bag by the George Baker Selection"
  • Benefit concert: Caravan
  • End titles: ???

By the way. If you don't know what the songs are, then they're most likely compositions by resident Simpsons composer, Alf Clausen. :) Caleb Osment 11:17, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Milhouse does not appear in the episode[edit]

  • that isn't correct. at the begin milhouse sit in the church. -- Simpsonspedia.net 06:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quotes section[edit]

Please stop removing the quotes section for this article. There are over 390 other Simpsons episodes with quotes sections, so this one should have one too. I'm putting it back and if it's not there when I come back to this article again, I'll be requesting protection.

Cheers. --Stevefarrell 19:07, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but Wikipedia is really not the place for Quotes sections, it's right here in WP:NOT, to whit:

"Wikipedia is not a directory.

Wikipedia is not a directory of everything that exists or has existed. Wikipedia articles are not:

1. Lists or repositories of loosely associated topics such as quotations, aphorisms, or persons (real or fictional). If you want to enter lists of quotations, put them into our sister project Wikiquote."

As there is already a Simpsons category on Wikiquote, the quotes sections should be moved over there in to the corresponding season and episode. Cheers. L0b0t 19:32, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So go and remove the sections in the 380-odd other episodes. I note that you're a member of a Wikiproject dedicated to removing overlong trivia sections, which I applaud (the sooner there are no more 'In popular culture' sections on articles, the better); however, the quotes sections on Simpsons episodes have always been there, and there's absolutely no good reason to remove them. I don't see the harm in having lists of quotations from The Simspsons on their articles, it doesn't hurt anybody. Nor do trivia sections in general. I see what you're trying to do, but I don't think you should be able to remove entire sections because you don't want them there. Either remove the 390 other quotes sections, or leave this one intact. I'd be willing to bet that they'd all have been put back before you've finished 50 episodes. I think you'll find that people like the quotes sections being here on Wikipedia itself, and want them to stay. That's called 'consensus'. --Stevefarrell 20:01, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, the only reason I haven't put it back again is because of the three revert rule. Expect to see it back tomorrow. --Stevefarrell 20:07, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry following established policy puts such a burr under your blanket. The quotes sections from all the articles are on their way out. They will be merged over into The Simpsons, with wikilinks back and forth, see WP:BTW. There is consensus for that (That's how it became policy.) Why don't you like that idea? L0b0t 20:32, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Seasons 1, 2, 3, 5, 13, 14, 17, and 18 have quote pages started, containing 71 episodes. This is not a new idea, please assume good faith. Cheers. L0b0t 22:21, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Hardest Button to Button[edit]

Why has "The Hardest Button to Button" been removed twice from the list of songs featured in the episode? I thought I'd ask before I add it again. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 15:21, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because the info is already in the article. L0b0t 15:25, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But the song name isn't mentioned. -- Scorpion0422 15:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
the song name has to be in no matter what--ATHFguy 00:59, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why? part of the actual recording of the song is heard in the episode and it's obvious to many watchers since it was a popular song, especially when the episode came out. --Mrmoustache14 (talk) 02:27, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

Shouldn't we be trimming the plot down a bit? --The preceding comment was signed by User:Sp3000 (talkcontribs) 21:01, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cultural Influences[edit]

Maybe we should include the sentence Bart says in the hospital about Phil Collins!? 80.135.156.93 18:27, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who are the two guys Bart is jamming with? And what's that they're always saying: "Out of sight, in the pocket, groovey" ??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.182.36.95 (talk) 17:15, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speculation[edit]

There is too much speculation in this article. Lots42 (talk) 17:32, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
