Untitled[edit]

"Workshop in the Tuileries" The workshops granted to artists and craftsmen were normally in the Galeries du Louvre. Is this an error? --Wetman 22:11, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the French wikipedia article says:
Outre de nombreux ouvrages qui lui furent commandés pour Sa Majesté, il obtint un atelier dans la cour des princes aux Tuileries et un logement au Louvre.
which I translated - in separate sentences, for considerations of style and flow - as:
...he was commissioned to produce numerous works for the King ... Oudry was granted a workshop in the Tuileries and an apartment in the Louvre.
