Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de BeaumontJeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont – The name of the page should be aligned on the contents (i.e. Leprince is written as one word, not two), which appear to be in line with the vast majority of sources. I cannot rename the page as it has already been renamed in the opposite direction. Timothy Cooper (talk) 14:58, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Of Interest WikiProject rankings[edit]

This woman wrote the most widely-read version of "Beauty and the Beast," one of the most important and widely-reproduced fairy tales in the Western tradition. Why is she ranked of "low importance" to the Children's Literature WikiProject? Seems she should be of medium importance at least. Gcampbel (talk) 12:14, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

First paragraph edit[edit]

I have modified the first paragraph of the article to build a better summary of De Beaumont's overall legacy. There was a sentence about one of her husbands that I removed, since it is not an essential piece of her life and is included later in the article. Article additions[edit]

I have added in all of the written work from my sandbox collected throughout a semester long project for my university. This includes edits to the short description, additional information in the "Life and Work" section. I also added two new sections called "Personal Life" and "Beauty and the Beast". These sections organize and add details about de Beaumont's marriages, children, and other networking during her time as a professional. Also, they elaborate her influence on the Beauty and Beast folktale by explaining its popularity and differences from the original work. ElleEverly8 (talk) 21:42, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
