Pop culture reference?[edit]

The web-comic Achewood also contains a character who is permanently five, the otter Philippe. This hasn't been explicitly acknowledged as an Ellison allusion, but is a striking coincidence which might bear mentioning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.125.140.171 (talk) 00:18, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The title bears interesting similarity to that of 1972 David Gerrold novel When HARLIE Was One (about an AI). Twang (talk) 22:29, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Both of those would be original research, and thus can't be included. DS (talk) 16:17, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How does Jeffty die?[edit]

The ending is described as Jeffty's mother drowning him in the bathtub, but the flickering lights suggest that Jeffty accidentally electrocuted himself by pulled the radio into the bathtub, while the radio was playing rock. His mother made it easy for him to do that, but perhaps it wasn't a drowning. There are a few references available. [1] Nereocystis (talk) 22:41, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
