Fixes[edit]

Very sorry to respond in english! I edited for concision and clarity. I moved several things to make the article easier to read. I did not change any content or meaning. I had never heard of her but was interested in this entry! Thanks for adding this. Resonanteye 00:41, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Album genre confusion[edit]

All the album links have "Pop" as genre description, but in the article it is pop/folk or folk/pop (if anyone insists). Well, to cut a long story short, those should be aligned. -andy 85.179.48.143 (talk) 18:06, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:08, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

where does it say that she has sold over 2 milion albums? As far as I know in Serbia there is no company like IFPI which public's the official album sales...sooo?!?!?!?! "and their wedding ceremony was fabulous" what the...?! I thought that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tabloid! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.24.20.2 (talk) 10:27, 21 January 2009 (UTC) She has sold even more than that. It's a fact. Her whole DIVA Album (2012) has been sold out since the day it has been released. I can't find a place where they have it available anywhere! And for the IFPI thing, we don't have that, but we do have City Records, her publisher. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.245.0.72 (talk) 10:02, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unsupported claims[edit]

"She's probably the biggest female pop icon in Europe." "She's famous in Germany,France,Greece,Great Britain and Italy." "She has widely became known by her appearance of a vulgar person, but much of that is just a marketing trick, made by her P.R." Please verify. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.200.65.74 (talk) 10:57, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

All of the sources in the article and others that I can find describe Karleuša as a turbo-folk singer, but someone keeps changing the article to the generic "pop" rather than the more precise genre. Whoever you are, could you please explain why you feel that we shouldn't follow what is written in reliable sources? Phil Bridger (talk) 21:08, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't change that, but maybe people change it because her last four albums were pure pop, and her last six albums are not folk genre, which can be verified on all of the wikipages of her albums. Fichomir (talk) 17:56, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Added popular nickname "Glupača"[edit]

Her nickname is often a subject of controversy, due to homonymity with Serbo-Croatian slur against dumb witted popular persons, but there is no reason for it not to be mentioned. 178.223.69.143 (talk) 03:28, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It can be mentioned only if reliably sourced. Phil Bridger (talk) 21:34, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
