LEAD
  • This lead is short. Review WP:LEAD and expand accordingly.
  • I would suggest that you begin by considering whether the article is organized correctly and then incorporating a summary of each section in the lead.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:34, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Early life
  • It is not clear how she is related to her half siblings.
  • Can you associate years with any of the following sentences: "As a child, Aniston lived in Greece for one year with her family. They later relocated to New York City.[5] Aniston attended the Rudolf Steiner School in New York,[7] and graduated from Manhattan's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.[4] She worked in Off Broadway productions such as For Dear Life and Dancing on Checker's Grave,[5] and supported herself with several part-time jobs, which included working as a telemarketer, waitress, and bike messenger."--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:37, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Television
  • She also co-starred in Ferris Bueller, a television adaptation of the 1986 hit movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. needs 1990 somewhere in the sentence.
  • a world-wide reputation. Favorable or unfavorable?
  • There must be a link for Guinness World Book of Records.
  • When mentioning seasons of shows that have season articles please link them. There may be relevant information in such articles.
  • It seems that the phrase "five Emmy nominations (two for Supporting Actress, three for Lead Actress)" should be expanded. It suggest that she either had a growing or shrinking role in the show.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:46, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would expand the critical acclaim discussion of her Rachel Green character. Golden Globe and SAG ensemble recognition are probably worth noting at least.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:07, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I might consider mentioning Logie.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:23, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Film
  • but was commercially successful and gained a cult following. needs a citation for both claims and probably more detail for the former if not both.
  • "supporting roles in the independent films Dream for an Insomniac and She's the One alongside Edward Burns and Cameron Diaz." is unclear on whether she starred along with them respectively (Burns in Insomniac and Diaz in She's the One) or whether they were both in the latter.
  • During the second half of the 1990s comma.
  • It seems to me that this section could use some box office numbers. E.g., "Aniston's biggest box office success to date was her appearance in 2003's Bruce Almighty, in which she played the live-in girlfriend of Jim Carrey's title character.[26] Aniston then starred in the 2004 film Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller.[27] In late 2005, Aniston appeared in two major studio films, Derailed and Rumor Has It…." says that she had her biggest box office success without giving a number or showing relative success to other films.
  • I think saying it opened in less than 700 theatres is misleading according to this.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:07, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Was Marley & Me her first number #1 opening. All such openings should be noted. From what I can tell, this was her fourth.
  • I have never heard of Metacritic and wonder what Rotten Tomatoes said, since I feel 30 is a low number of reviews.
  • Is "As of June 20, 2010, Aniston's movies have grossed more than $1 billion in the United States and over $1,7 billion worldwide." a new paragraph?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:19, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Other works
  • Can you add citations for the following text: "Aniston has appeared in various commercials and music videos. In 1996, she was in Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers music video for "Walls". In 2001, Aniston was in Melissa Etheridge's music video for "I Want To Be In Love". She was cast in a Heineken commercial which was later banned due to branding issues. Aniston has also been in commercials for L'Oreal hair products."--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:28, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • although she and Grey withdrew in 2005. Did this have something to do with the separation?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:32, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Philanthropy
  • Aniston supports many charity foundations. She is a supporter of Friends of El Faro, a grassroots non-profit organization that helps raise money for Casa Hogar Sion, an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. She has appeared in many TV commercials for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, which she supports. She made a guest appearance on "Oprah's Big Give" to support the cause. citations please.
  • I don't understand the contributions referred to in "On April 14, 2007, Aniston received GLAAD's Vanguard Award for her contributions to increased visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community."--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:35, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Personal life
  • Citations for the following:
    • and the couple were reportedly engaged.
    • In May 1998, she began dating actor Brad Pitt.
    • In the following months, the public's reaction towards the divorce was reported in the press. The story became the headline news of media shows such as Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, and made the front-pages of tabloid magazines for years, continuing till this day.
    • Aniston revealed that her divorce prompted her to reach out to her mother, Nancy, from whom she was estranged for nearly a decade.
  • What is the meaning of "'Team Aniston' and 'Team Jolie' T-shirts appeared, with 'Team Aniston' shirts out-selling the 'Team Jolie' shirts 4:1.
  • Does a friendship like Andrea Bendewald (See this as well) belong in this section?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:53, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In the media
  • This section needs further citations
  • Also it is common for sex symbols to have rankings for Maxim top 100. I'd imagine she has been listed.
  • Has she been a Barbara Walters 10 most interesting people listee?
  • Does she have a walk of fame star? If so when was the ceremony? What about that place where you put your hands in the cement?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:00, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Has she had any paparazzi issues?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:02, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
GA review (see here for criteria)

I am disappointed in the coverage.

  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
The writing and formatting is GA-level.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
Much text is uncited that could be contested.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Although you did a complete chronology of her onscreen work, the article is incomplete.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
File:Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahn Faces Red Carpet for Premiere of Management.jpg needs the same personality rights tag as the other images. Captions need minor tinkering
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
Overall, I have the feeling that this is far short of what is possible for the subject of this article.

I have failed this article due to the extensive work required to get it up to snuff. I would be more than willing to assess whether my concerns have been addressed informally or through a WP:PR. If you open a PR, let me know.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:20, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
