Jerry's dad

Reality has it that Jerry Cantrell's father Jerry Sr was in fact a combat soldier in Vietnam and that he has been suffering post traumatic disorders as a result of his experiences in Vietnam as is evident through the Alice in Chains song "Rooster". I think we do need to add this somewhere in this article as well as some details of Jerry Jr's early and personal life.

I'm not sure how Jerry Sr.'s life experiences are relevant in this article unless there are sources that talk about how they affecting Jerry Jr. Do you have any sources? --Spike Wilbury talk 18:48, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I do think that Jerry Sr's life experiences, both in the war of Vietnam and his personal life did have a profound impact on Jerry Jr. After all, Jerry Sr is Jerry Jr's father. So apparently whatever happend in the lives of both Jerry Jr's parents must have influenced his view of both the world and society in general.

grunge

Nobody can define this "genre" and all musicians labeled as grunge have expressed dyssatisfaction with the term. I say get rid of it.

Ozzy Osbourne

Anyone on here know whether or not Jerry ever played with Ozzy live? If he did, it needs to be mentioned in the article. Gringo300 (talk) 18:23, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Is Alice In Chains Grunge?

Is Alice In Chains Grunge? I thought this was just a common mistake due to them coming from Seattle at a time when bands such as Nirvana and Mudhoney were making waves. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.96.254.123 (talk) 16:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

In Germany they say it's Grunge.--Stanzilla (talk) 23:39, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Off Topic...

Jerry Cantrell is an amazing guitarist, a superb songwriter, and has a beautiful voice. I say that he is on of the most talented rock musicians out there! (And I think he's quite sexy) 24.115.1.69 (talk) 19:08, 7 April 2010 (UTC).

Biography?

I kept seeing rumors everywhere that Cantrell would put out his own biography around 2003 or 2004, talking about his life, Alice in Chains, and of course, Staley's death. (and my assumption he didn't is because of Anthony Kiedis' which was released in 2004, he probably didn't want to compete with it) Still, I keep seeing rumors already that he has been reconsidering it ever since AiC has got back and released an album. Even more now that Starr has died. IS there a site that confirms these rumors anywhere..? --Johnnybravo44 (talk) 03:39, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

In Film

Should add that Cantrell played "Jesus of CopyMat" in the film Jerry Maguire. Source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116695/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm#cast Black Max (talk) 06:20, 26 February 2013 (UTC) Black Max

Should it also be included in the "In Film" section that his song "She was my Girl" was used on the soundtrack "Music from and Inspired by Spiderman" for the first Spiderman film? I'm only asking this and not adding it myself because I assumed it has been done and there is a reason for it not being included. --Mattkickbox (talk) 02:36, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Untitled

PERSONAL LIFE relates to Biography and I don't know why there is no mention of whether or not Cantrell is married, has a live-in, a girlfriend, or possibly lives a celibate life.....just something that states if he is the father of any kids as most Personal Life sections have. I think that would help the article be better. This also ties in with Spokenword above saying there was little mention of him as a young boy whose father was in Vietnam.
