Change "various accolades" including a Golden Globe to "various accolades", including a Golden Globe, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Critics Choice Awards. Chickenparm873 (talk) 22:39, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. The lead is detailed enough currently. Awards are covered at length in the article body. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:04, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

Edit Request - Misinterpretted Review

  • Specific text to be added or removed: Her performance was not well received by the critic
  • Reason for the change: This is a misinterpretation of the review. Her character is supposed to pale throughout the play. It was not "not well received by the critic"
  • References supporting change: She plays the daughter and closeted lesbian of a troubled middle-aged film actor, who is having an affair with her stepmom. Her character starts off very outgoing, but by the end of the play she loses everyone due to her affair with her stepmother and her happiness fades away.

Can you please add, that Jessica has Order of Princess Olga (Third Class) "for significant personal merits in strengthening interstate cooperation, support of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, significant contribution to the popularization of the Ukrainian state in the world."  Note: Your source does not mention that Jessica Chastain has Order of Princess Olga (Third Class). EnIRtpf09bchat with me 13:06, 12 September 2022 (UTC)

Referring to the title character in TEoTF as "Faye"

In the paragraph discussing her praise for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, the writer repeatedly refers to Tammy Faye Bakker as "Faye" as though it were her last name. Since it isn't, maybe someone could fix that. 66.210.63.221 (talk) 19:24, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

The article currently reads: Chastain supports charitable organizations that promote mental health, and is involved with the nonprofit organization To Write Love on Her Arms to help high-school students of alternate sexual and gender identities overcome insecurities.[175]

Per their website, the organization's mission is:

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery

https://twloha.com/

While the article is not entirely incorrect, it would be more accurate to say that it is helping high school students struggling with depression, addiction, self-harm, and suicide. 192.24.221.238 (talk) 11:43, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Note: I've removed that description entirely (but left the link to To Write Love on Her Arms), as it doesn't really need to be described on that page (especially as it isn't really discussed in the cited source). ~ Eejit43 (talk) 20:32, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

Catherine or Caroline

The link "Catherine Weldon" leads to the page for Caroline Weldon. Out there in the interwebs I have seen both names, including "Catherine" in the book "Woman Waking Ahead." The Wiki article on Caroline Weldon doesn't mention "Catherine" anywhere except in a reference to the book. Likewise, the Wiki article on the movie "Woman Walks Ahead." Kuiperobject1 (talk) 23:34, 22 January 2023 (UTC)

Reuters says that Caroline Weldon was also known as Catherine. In the film, she is named Catherine. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:37, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
Hi Krimuk2.0, the author of said book, Eileen Pollack has done a lot of research on this subject and here is her input 24h ago (she was kind enough to respond to my email):
"I appreciate your interest in my book. If you do buy a copy, I would suggest the revised edition as the epilogue contains a great deal of information about Weldon that turned up after the original edition was published.
As to her name ... before I did my research, she was known as "Catherine Weldon," but we now know that "Weldon" was an assumed name and "Catherine" was likely the name given to her by journalists who never met her.  She actually was born "Susanna Karolina Faesch." In America, she mostly went by the name "Caroline.'"
So it appears that Catherine is outdated and Caroline is correct. The Wiki page on her is already correct, so perhaps the Chastain page should make the update to "Caroline." Kuiperobject1 (talk) 22:58, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
Whatever the real fact may be, the page will only reflect what's in the movie! Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:26, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
But in the main text is "Catherine" which links to a page called "Caroline." This is confusing at best. It may be better to link it to the movie, if you wish to remain faithful to it. Kuiperobject1 (talk) 18:43, 24 January 2023 (UTC)

According to many articles online, Jessica Chastain has a daughter and a son. Not two daughters. 97.104.130.103 (talk) 06:50, 30 April 2023 (UTC)

July 4th 2022 Instagram post

Some article about actors and producers/directors like Jason Biggs and Joss Whedon discuss their controversial posts on social media. Chastain's Instagram post where she gave two middle fingers for the July 4th holiday after the Roe V. Wade decision was discussed on Access Hollywood as was the heavy criticism she received from a senator's daughter Meghan McCain. [1] Should we bring up what Chastain did that day in the article? Edit request for small grammar mistake

The last sentence in the first paragraph of the Advocacy section should be changed from:

Most notably, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2022, she voiced her support...

to

Most notably, when she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2022, she voiced her support...

Without the "when", the sentance doesn't parse correctly and is confusing to read. N.hawke96 (talk) 20:59, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
