Domino[edit]

Domino is not only a US single, it was also released as a single in Australia, New Zealand and Canada! That means you cant call it ONLY a US single.

it doesn't say that it is a US only single... Mister sparky (talk) 17:00, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

FRA to AUT[edit]

can we replace france with austria, because jessie j has 4 singles charted in Austria compared with only 2 charted singels in france?? --91.154.111.36 (talk) 13:41, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, France has a population of some 65 million people, while Austria has only about 8 million. Therefore, I think the results in France might be more representative of her digital success in Europe. The object isn't to show the charts where an artist has had the most success, but to show relative success with a selection of charts. But I wouldn't want to change countries just because of (so far) two more chartings. And anyway, "Price Tag" was no. 1 in France (pop. 65 million), which I think is interesting.
By the way, it's generally better to propose a biggish change like this before you do it (and certainly before you do it twice), so we can discuss the merits and not edit-war back and forth. I'll be interested to see what others have to say on this topic. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 19:21, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
your talking rubish, austria has charted better in all single exept price tag, it doesnt matter the population...christina aguilera had france in chart but it was replaced by austria because of better chart position and charted in more singles. now i have put austria with france, but just for 1 number one single i think it it should be better to remove it.

Of course the market size matters; it's not rubbish. If, for some artist's discography, we choose Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, New Zealand and five other small countries, when the artist has charted in US, Brazil, Japan, Germany and France, we're not giving as clear a picture as we should about the artist's success. If U2's next album goes to #1 in Ireland (their home country, pop. 4.5 million), that's great, but readers want to know how the album does in the States, Germany, the UK, Canada, and other large markets. The Finnish or Austrian or Slovakian peaks don't tell us as much as larger-market chartings.
In that vein, would you like to replace New Zealand (pop 4.4 million) with AUT? NZ is the smallest country we're showing. On the other hand, it is an English-speaking country. What do you think? Do you have other suggestions? — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 10:20, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Domino[edit]

http://www.bigtop40.com/

domino is currently at number 16 on the UK charts so could you please update it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.195.227.18 (talk) 15:42, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your note here after I saw that you already changed the article. Unfortunately, I had to revert your edit, since The Big Top 40 Show is listed at our WP:BADCHARTS page of deprecated and unreliable sources. The UK chart we're using for Jessie J's "Domino" in this discog is the UK Singles Chart compiled by The Official Charts Company (and updated at the weekend). We don't use the iTunes lists. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 16:10, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, wasn't aware of that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.195.227.18 (talk) 21:20, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Jessie J discography[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jessie J discography's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 04:49, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
