I think it's safe to remove the "neutrality" tag. I've cleaned up the article consistently since I originally wrote it, and removed the uncited value judgments. If anyone objects to removing the NPOV tag, speak now or forever hold your peace. Unless someone gives me reason not to, I'll remove the neutrality tag after 5 days or so. I think the article's current state warrants that. Davemcarlson 05:07, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Half of world's tallest living couple?[edit]

Perhaps his marriage to 6 ft 7 in (201 cm) tall Gwendolyn Gillingham on July 7, 2007 deserves a mention? Link puts his height at 7 ft (213 cm). I don't know if they actually are the world's tallest living couple, but they're the only one with both over 2 metres that I know of. Svetlana and Sanjay Singh of India have frequently been claimed at 7 ft 2 in (218 cm) and 6 ft 6 in (198 cm) respectively, but the Indian Limca Book of Records measured Svetlana only at 6 ft 8½ in (204 cm), and elswhere Sanjay's height was given only at 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in). --Anshelm '77 (talk) 01:47, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I forgot Yao Ming (226 cm/7 ft 5 in – I'd rather not use information from the NBA, which has a history of exaggeration) and Ye Li (190 cm/6 ft 2¾ in), who at 416 cm (or 419 cm according to more generous sources) could be just taller than the 414–417 cm McIlvaines; though the "both over 2 metres" clause still only applies to the latter couple. Of course, the tallest-ever married couple were Anna (227 cm/7 ft 5½ in) and Martin Bates (220 cm/7 ft 2½ in), and couples of more than 370 cm in combined height must be quite rare. --Anshelm '77 (talk) 17:09, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
