GMC and Water Protestors

There is concerning elements here misrepresenting O'Callaghan's involvement with water protestors, with defamatory remarks that he has assisted in jailing them, which is factually incorrect and not even supported by the sources cited.

For example, one article indicates O'Callaghan stating that GMC welcomes the undertaking; however, that response is just a comment on the ruling in the Court. O'Callaghan is not a criminal prosecutor and was not involved in any of the prosecutions against water protestors, to imply that he was is defamatory. The prosecutions were conducted by the DPP and not GMC. It says so clearly in the articles.

Next, another line indicated O'Callaghan assisted GMC with "legal action against residents that refused to comply with their wishes" which is simply not true. It wasn't GMC Sierra's wishes that weren't complied with, but government direction. Again, it is really poorly worded and seems to have been created by a "crank" with limited to no knowledge as to how the legal system works in Ireland.

It's also questionable whether O'Callaghan's client list is even relevant on a living biography. He was a member of the Independent Bar, his client list will be eclectic and varied. It seems that particular clients are put on here to politicise or give a slant to the article, which seems to go against what the living biography section should be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:8084:2740:D80:801D:D775:7D3D:8D92 (talk) 17:29, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
