Real name[edit]

Yesterday I reverted several unsourced changes to the article, one of which claimed Kendall's birth name was Josephine Robinson. I did some digging, and according to this, Josephine Robinson is indeed her actual birth name. This would mean that the Jo Kendall born in 1938 is actually a different person (and also means that the information about her marriage and parents don't apply to this Jo Kendall either). Unfortunately, this image is the only source I could find about this. --C. J. Greengrass (talk) 15:52, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Good work. That bit about marrying a farmer didn't ring true so it's good that you got to the bottom of it. And the cutting is excellent evidence; well done! We need to dig like this as the mainstream media like the BBC seem to have forgotten her. Andrew🐉(talk) 13:03, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. It's indeed a shame the mainstream media hasn't noticed her passing. At least the tabloids have given her a lot of attention, though unfortunately many of them seem to have copied the incorrect information about her birth date and marriage from here. --C. J. Education in Leicester?[edit]

Why is there no reference in the article to the Leicester Collegiate School, when there is a link to it in the 'famous people' list? Did she study there? Collegiate Girls' School in Leicester was still going strong in the 1970s - I lived nearby, and my school pal's two sisters attended. I wasn't aware of a Collegiate Boys' School. I am intrigued.
