Pacock wording

The number of adjectives largely exceeds what is common for objective writing. They are mostly evaluative and not descriptive. Comparisons and refrences are made to sound laudatory. The article reads like advertising, not like an encyclopedia entry. It also needs updating and clean up.

Examples: raw, gritty voice (double adjective);rare duo with rock legend Ted Nugent (redundancy);enlisted the talents of multiple studio musicians, such as Jason Bonham, son of the legendary John Bonham (bombast); most recent studio effort is the 2006 release entitled "You & Me" (out of date & cliche). The verb 'use' is used 4 times in 4 successive lines.al 09:10, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

All right, I did a major overhaul. Cleaned up a ton of grammar, removed a lot of the fansite stuff, and tried to make it more objective. Updated the information to this year's stuff, and added a picture of last night's concert. Scortiaus 17:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Side Project

Can Black Country Communion really be called a 'side project' when they are now on their fourth album with Bonamassa? 'Side project bands' are usually relatively little known compared to the artist's main work, whilst BCC has established a serious reputation with similar levels of chart success to his better performing solo albums. Should there not be a proper section title "With Black Country Communion" that recognises that it a significant and sustained element of his work in contrast to his many other collaborations? 'Sam Brickta'

I removed the name Sam Brickta from the interview section where Bonamassa talks about his influences. There is no well known guitarist by this name. This is obviously a mishearing on the part of the interviewer, comparable to the David Bowie interview that stated one of his favorite movies as being "Ahman Flint" instead of "Our Man Flint." Barring audio from the interview that can be reviewed, 'Sam Brickta' shouldn't be included in the list. Lazy journalists have already started spreading 'Sam Brickta' across the internet, so if anybody wants to change their name to Sam Brickta and get famous, there's your chance. He also plays the Theremin (in concerts at least). Where should that be mentioned? Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 17:15, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Matt Nowak

Dear Joe, I was wondering if you know my son, Matt Nowak. He died April 28th. I know he played at the Colloseum in Fort Wayne, In. once. He was a bass player. Thanks, Carol Nowak nowak6895@roadrunner.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.30.179.59 (talk) 14:51, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

The audiences of Joe Bonamassa

When one views the performances of Bonamassa on DVD it is very noticeable the audience is primarily white. Since blues is a child of black gospel music I find myself asking has white blues been abandoned by black audiences? and why? Where is the black audience? Where are black musicians? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Miistermagico (talkcontribs) 01:36, 14 June 2019 (UTC) I suspect the answer is Soul music. KTBA Records

Other than User_talk:Walter_Görlitz per [5], i'm seeking a consensus on "reliable" sources for two blues artists who are clearly on the KTBA label. If others would like to add "approved" refs, please do. Rather than arguing, i prefer discussing legitimate solutions instead of constant unproductive reverts without discussion first. Joanna Connor's article uses [1][2] which i don't particularly like. Joanne Shaw Taylor's site mentions KTBA records: [6] ("press release") as does Joanna Connor's: [7] (Bonamassa producer). Since Bonamassa is the founder of KTBA, albums are listed on his site which is associated with the label.

And this was my good faith contribution:

Joanne Shaw Taylor ("If That Ain't a Reason")[3][4][5][6][7] and Joanna Connor (4801 South Indiana Avenue)[8][9][10][11][12] also recorded on the label.[13]

Thanks to other civil editors! 137.27.65.235 (talk) 08:12, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

P.s. Per another revert, it has nothing to do with "not broken" but rather how Ike & Tina Turner are billed on albums. It's & not and. 137.27.65.235 (talk) 09:01, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

UPDATE: seems to be resolved 137.27.65.235 (talk) 14:37, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

Good faith is one thing. Using WP:PRIMARY sourced and then WP:OVERREF is another. I've cleaned up the content and it should be OK for now, but, per WP:NOTNEWS, not everything needs to be written about. If all we can find is primary sources—and that includes press releases—that's a good indication that no one really cares about the topic and we should not consider it noteworthy for this encyclopedia. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:41, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
You need to understand you don't own articles you watch. Remain calm and go to talk pages before reverting. I'd think you'd know this by now after all the blocks against you for edit warring. It's also important for me to defend your accusation that i'm a fan or paid editor. Does that mean you are since you're obsessed with Christian-related genres? If you have an agenda to undo IP's work then they are going to get upset. Please don't assume. It's lazy to revert instead of fix contributions or discuss on talk pages to achieve consensus. I was going to reword that sentence but you didn't give me a chance. Odd how i had no problem until i came across an article you watch. Best of luck! 137.27.65.235 (talk) 15:40, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the reminder. It was entirely unnecessary and misplaced. What you need to understand is that your edits were of poor quality and you can't pretend they were.
While I may edit Christian music articles, and soccer articles, and software testing articles, it does not mean that I have focused on one, narrow topic. Your edits have focused on Joe Bonamassa and his label. There's a big difference between my edits and yours. If you have no conflict of interest, that is fine. Your editing history shows that it's right to ask the question. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:23, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
I do other articles too. Sometimes it may take me multiple edits to finish a contribution when i'm trying to fix problems on articles so they don't remain sloppy. You have to be open to other people changing articles that you watch. And you continuing to put "poor quality" and "warning" on talk pages or edit summaries just to have a record doesn't bother me because i know the truth. Please avoid tarnishing editor's efforts and insulting their intelligence about obvious good faith contributions. It may kill their spirit. It may discredit their reputation. It can cloud the judgments of others. Avoid escalation. Treat people with respect and dignity. I think you need to cut people some slack on here and not rush to reverting content you don't like or didn't actually review. It's ok not to be the last word. There's more to life than Wikipedia. No one is perfect. Not all contributions will be accurate. Mine were fine. Relax. With that, respectfully leave me be now. Bye! 137.27.65.235 (talk) 17:47, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
Yes, you do other articles. I have not looked at all of your articles, but the additions you made to the Dion article and the associated discography were singularly about Bonamassa and his record label. I picked one series at random: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Blues_Foundation&type=revision&diff=1035037713&oldid=1000496942 and sure enough, it was an edit about Bonamassa's label. Should I continue to dig or are these anomalous? That's what the concern is. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:34, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

Per the ANI report, you are wrong. The Blues Foundation Awards are NOT from his record label, regardless of the similar name. And you did not pick random edits when there have been more i've made on other articles. You don't have a dog in this fight. You were out-of-line and could have been blocked. Talk about "digging" (which is obvious proof you are hounding me), you have recent and past 3RR, edit warring, personal attacks, disruption, etc. You have no right to educate me when you have a long history of blocks. Many times you escaped action being taken. I made a personal note should it be necessary in the future. I asked you to respectfully let me be yet you felt the need to reply. I'm sure you will again. But i resent you putting language on my talk page that would give admin the impression i've been a problem. That has been you. 137.27.65.235 (talk) 04:41, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Sorry. I missed the ANI. I don't really see what my prestigious edit history has to do with an editor of low repute who has to hide behind IPs. You have been a problem. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:54, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
More insults? It's the other way around. And now you're blocked again:[8] 137.27.65.235 (talk) 03:19, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
