Joe Crawford (basketball, born 1986) → Joe Crawford (basketball player) – Simpler and WP:RECOGNIZABLE. The 1951-born Crawford is a referee, and never a player at any notable level. There are such pages like Earl Williams (basketball player) (to distinguish from Earl Williams (basketball coach)), James Jones (basketball player) (to distinguish from James Jones (basketball coach)) etc. Timmyshin (talk) 00:46, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comment There is a parallel RM for the basketball referee at Talk:Joe_Crawford_(basketball,_born_1951)#Requested_move_11_November_2015, which is likely to move it to Joey Crawford. Should this player article then be Joe Crawford (basketball), with a description on the Joseph Crawford disambiguation page that this is the player, or should this still be renamed to Joe Crawford (basketball player)?—Bagumba (talk) 23:44, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

- @Rikster2: Joey Crawford currently redirects to the ref (even before the RM), so a dab wouldn't be needed there. If we make Joe Crawford (basketball, born 1986) → Joe Crawford (basketball), as you are suggesting, I guess we could just put a hatnote in there in case a reader was looking for the ref.—Bagumba (talk) 22:03, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
