Organization[edit]

I overhauled the page to make it better organized, and to reflect that JA has done a lot more than run NASCAR. Twohlford 02:49, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

Slightly out of date. Does someone have a more modern pic of him in, say, a Roth Racing Indycar suit, etc., at one of the newer races? Thanks in advance if an affirmative. --Chr.K. (talk) 11:30, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

-There is a reccent photo http://www.moravian.edu/assets/base/images/alumniImages/alumniProfiles/johnAndretti.jpg yet, as a non-autoconfirmed member I cannot update this section. If somebody else could do so, it would be much appreciated — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aprince22 (talkcontribs) 23:37, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bot report : Found duplicate references ![edit]

In the last revision I edited, I found duplicate named references, i.e. references sharing the same name, but not having the same content. Please check them, as I am not able to fix them automatically :)

Out of date re Petty last win[edit]

"He was the last NASCAR driver to win a Cup race for the famous Petty Enterprises team". This is strictly true, but only if Petty Enterprises and Richard Petty Motorsports should be considered separate for purposes of this article. I suspect the intention, true at the time the statement was written, was to indicate that Andretti was the most recent driver to win for Richard Petty as an owner. Since that is no longer true, Marcos Ambrose having won for Richard Petty Motorsports, I'd vote for either removing this statement entirely, or expanding on it to make a clear distinction between Petty Enterprises and Richard Petty Motorsports. Though the latter would seem to be beyond the intent of this article. Gmporr (talk) 05:07, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that we take it out entirely. To expand would be outside the bounds of purpose for John Andretti's entry. Aprince22 —Preceding undated comment added 23:41, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Career history" section missing information[edit]

Though other NASCAR information exists throughout the article, the "Career history" section only includes open wheel statistics. NASCAR should be added, as well as any other series in which he's competed. Gmporr (talk) 05:14, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That is a side effect of the tables necessitating the results of each individual race, something not necessairly well known in many of his series. Perhaps a table like that which appears in occasional NASCAR racer and Australian touring car legend Dick Johnson (racing driver) might be appropriate? --Falcadore (talk) 06:34, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
