Fair use rationale for Image:School District of Philadelphia logo.gif[edit]

Image:School District of Philadelphia logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Announcement[edit]

Students at John Bartram High School will be editing this entry as part of their final project in their US History Class. The proposed topics will include History, School and Site Structure, Students, Academics and Curriculum, Extracurricular and Support Programs, Athletics, Famous Alumni, References and External Links. This follows the basic structure for Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools. All helpful references and direction are welcome. New entries and editing will begin on Tuesday June 9th. We welcome any critiques and feedback.

All constructive contributions are welcome, but Wikipedia articles are not intended to be used as school projects. The recent editing of this article includes much unsourced text, often based on personal interviews and regarding unencyclopedic content. Please read WP:GUIDELINES, which may be helpful. Cheers, 99.178.163.130 (talk) 18:04, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On Going Project[edit]

Thank you for the feedback. I want to give my students a chance to complete their project knowing that some students grasped the concept of encyclopedic information better than others. I, as the teacher, will then edit the information they provided by deleting, augmenting and properly referencing the entry we edited. This process will be complete within a week. I will be sure to follow the Guidelines provided above. Thank you for your patience. --Ushistoryjbhs (talk) 12:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Ushistoryjbhs[reply]

Here are articles on high schools that have been rated 'good', and may serve as examples or templates for comparison: [1], [2]. Please remember to sign your talk page comments. 99.178.163.130 (talk) 18:51, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you can add a 'construction' template [3] to the top of the article while it is undergoing major work. 99.178.163.130 (talk) 18:57, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinate error[edit]

The coordinates seem to point to a parking lot, not sure how to get lat/long from Google Maps but the actual address is at: 2401 South 67th Street Philadelphia, PA 19142

Thanks for noticing. The coordinates came from the NRHP application, and as it was clear back in 1986, an error of 5 blocks does not surprise me. Fixed it. Gtwfan52 (talk) 04:30, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, BTW. Acme mapper is much easier for pulling coordinates than google maps. Gtwfan52 (talk) 04:31, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
