Irish name[edit]

I removed the Irish name (Seán de Butléir Chill Chaise) added bona fide by User:Colin Ryan as there is no evidence that the subject of the article used an Irish name. The addition of Irish names to English names in the leads of biographical articles is considered original research (WP:OR), unless the existence or use of such a name can be substantiated by a corresponding citation as has been pointed out by User:Mabuska, an eminent Irish wikipedian and a speaker of the language. Family tree box[edit]

I think that the colour for the Fitzgerald earls should be more strikingly different to the Ormond earls. Too many have similar regnal numbers. It gets confusing. Laurel Lodged (talk) 09:17, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User talk:Laurel Lodged I have experimented (not saved) replacing the "lightcyan" colour used for Desmond with "wheat". Do you think it would be better? Please make your own experiment. However, perhaps you can find other better colours. Of course the colours need to be light so that the labelling can easily be read. Colours might also appear different on different screens. What do you think? Thanks and best regards, Johannes Schade (talk) 10:55, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Can you save the change to wheat please? I'm not really seeing a strong contrast right now. Laurel Lodged (talk) 16:47, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Laurel Lodged. Done. I also added the family name "FitzGerald" to the 10th Earl of Desmond. That might also help to distinguish but I feel I should not do that everywhere in the tree, being afraid to overcharge it with text. What do you think? Thanks for this useful discussion. Best regards, Johannes Schade (talk) 08:04, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Johannes Schade: I think that that is a good solution. I think that you should apply it to the entire dynasty. Laurel Lodged (talk) 09:08, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Laurel Lodged. Yes I will bit by bit go through the other family trees of the dynasty.
