Death details[edit]

John Gardiner died 10th October 1965 in Glasgow, Scotland according to his death certificate obtained from Scotland's People. Online link is https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/view-image/nrs_stat_deaths/11718515. You can only view it with a subscription, so I've uploaded a copy here > https://ibb.co/j4S6Sk It's clearly him because using information sourced in the article, we can see... 1) the age at death matches up according to his DOB 2) the location matches the fact he lived in Glasgow 3) his middle name Flannegan matches his mother's maiden name on the certificate 4) the certificate mentions that he was the General Manager of Kelvin Hall. Again, already sourced in article

I've had to upload this section here because a fellow contributor objected to me adding the information. Presumably he/she didn't trust my edit even though I cited Scotland's People. I would appreciate it if other users will now allow me to reinstate these details. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 17:47, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean it's clearly him? Sounds like WP:OR to me... GiantSnowman 07:08, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Do you dispute that? You're giving no valid reasons to omit the information. Right now you're clearly just trying to be a pain in the arse. WP:OR is a guideline - it isn't mandatory in every instance of citing information. There is clearly a lack of information concerning his death online. Common sense would dictate you then go to the most logical place to find that information... the official records. --Jkaharper (talk) 22:33, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What did he do for a living?[edit]
