Untitled[edit]

This article paints a picture of the the UFC / Referee relationship post UFC-31 that is misleading. The article states that John McCarthy is retired from being a UFC referee when he is not in fact retired. Additionally he is not employed by the UFC and has not been since the Nevada and New Jersey athletic commissions sanctioned MMA and implemented the Unified Rules of Combat. John is no longer a licensed NSAC referee. He is however licensed in California and referees events in that state. Additionally this article has numerous 'time bombs' listing John's current activities which often may no longer be true. I doubt anyone will read this but an experienced Wikipedia editor needs to look into cleaning up these inaccuracies. Whitoflaven (talk) 01:17, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well I read it, and I could not agree more. There are glaring inaccuracies, completely false statements, mixed in with some good material. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.17.214.172 (talk) 05:27, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not only that, but I thought there was another reason he didn't ref for the UFC anymore. Didn't Big John kind of speak poorly about the UFC when he was a color commentator for Strikeforce? Could be wrong... 174.77.67.66 (talk) 21:29, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
