John Pennington THOMASSON[edit]

According to the "The Responsible Society", he was eldest son of Thomas THOMASSON and Sarah PENNINGTON. The DNB gives the mother as Maria PENNINGTON and is presumably the source for this article. "The Responsible Society" if the history of Bank Street Chapel, I would personally trust it more than the DNB. --jmb 09:20, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The 1841 census seems to confirm the DNB with mother being Maria (though the 1841 census does not give relationships). Very odd as The Responsible Society at least twice gives his mother's name as Sarah. I have found too many mistakes in the DNB so tend to never completely believe it. --jmb 09:45, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
