Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Johnny Alegre is the premiere guitarist from the Philippines. He is, in fact, listed in the definitive book about the most respected jazz guitarists in the world, "The Great Jazz Guitarists: The Ultimate Guide" by the jazz historian, Scott Yanow. The volume can be found in Amazon, as follows:
