Notability/Unreliable sources[edit]

I think there might just barely be enough coverage across the cited independent sources for this article to survive AfD, but most of the provided sources appear to be press releases or other non-independent coverage. We should ideally rely less on such coverage. signed, Rosguill talk 21:40, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Rosguill: The article-level tag is not helpful. It would be better if you tagged individual sources that you think are unreliable with {{unreliable source?}} since Paste definitely is while I have not checked RSN for the others. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:45, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Paste is pretty much the only one that's unambiguously reliable in this context, along with Vice/Noisey (although its coverage is brief). The exclaim.ca sources are a mixed bag, with some seeming like significant coverage [1], while others look like press releases [2] [3] leaving me unsure what to make of the source as a whole. There's also plenty of sources that may be usable for attributed statements and trivial claims (e.g. citation #9, [4]), but which don't contribute to notability. Museum of Canadian Music , Killbeat Music, and The Big Takeover are clearly promotional. signed, Rosguill talk 22:56, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The CBC tweet is also a RS, but doesn't help much in getting the subject to WP:GNG. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:07, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
