Authorship disambiguation[edit]

I have in no way verified that all of these works are by the same person. I have already assumed that this is a different person with the same name:

  • Jefferson, John (1789). A Sermon [on Ps. xxi. 1, 2] preached ... the day appointed for a general thanksgiving to Almighty God for his interposition in delivering our ... Sovereign from a grievous illness, etc. London.

as well as these translated works:

  • Riehm, E. (1876). Messianic prophecy : Its origin, historical character, and relation to New Testament fulfilment. Translated by Jefferson, John. Edinburgh.{{cite book}}: CS1 maint: location missing publisher (link)
  • Gebhardt, H. (1878). The doctrine of the Apocalypse, and its relation to the doctrine of the Gospel and Epistles of John. Clark's Foreign Theological Library. Translated by Jefferson, John. Edinburgh.{{cite book}}: CS1 maint: location missing publisher (link)

I am fairly optimistic given the pacifism evident in some of the rest of these works that they are by the same person, but have no means to verify this. Daask (talk) 19:02, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I guess I should have read the British library entries more carefully, as they seem to distinguish already. See here for an older printed version. Daask (talk) 19:07, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
