Common name[edit]

Regarding the move of this page, J. L. Rawlins (38%), Joseph Rawlins (32%), and Joseph L. Rawlins (32%) are the only iterations of Rawlins's name that constitute over 5% of references to him on newspapers.com. Per WP:INITS, a written-out name is preferable to simply initials if the written-out version is used by RS. Most references to him include his middle initial; thus Joseph L. over Joseph.
