Not second but first black bishop consecrated in the US[edit]

Bowers was the first Black bishop consecrated in the US. Someone who was functionally an Irish American with a little bit of African ancestry that he never publicly acknowledge is not black. We speak of people based on ethnicity, not race, and ethnicity only exists when it is acted upon, it is not a biological but a cultural fact.John Pack Lambert (talk) 14:43, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
