Lifetime of the 1879 bulb?

I can't seem to find a reference that details the exact lifetime of the bulb Swan demonstrated in 1879. I've seen claims that the bulb lasted from 13 to 40 hours, but I haven't seen any of them make references to primary sources which makes their claims hard to verify. If anyone has the answer to this question it would be much appreciated if you could post it here.01:55, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

Inventor of the incandescent lamp?

The article Incandescent light bulb list nine inventors other than Edison or Swan who came up with incandescent lamp designs, many of which predate Swan. So we can not make the claim "known for his invention of the first incandescent light bulb"[1]. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 16:58, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

Reworked article from this edit, article does not make a claim (let alone provide a citation) that this was the "first practical and commercially sucessful" bulb. Sources such as the National Museum of American History, Handbook of American Business History: Manufacturing,The Encyclopedia of the Industrial Revolution in World History, Volume 3, The Power Makers: Steam, Electricity, and the Men Who Invented Modern America directly contradict such a claim so we can not state this seriously contested assertion as a fact (WP:YESPOV). The revert also did not address two other problems noted (non-summary in lead and lack of citation). The claim of "invention of the first incandescent light bulb" is a WP:CFORK with Incandescent light bulb which has 19 references backing up earlier inventors. Reworded with references and cleaned up further redundant sections, un-cited, taged "Unreliable source", and poor WP:RS claims such as "notion that Swan collaborated with Edison in this invention" and "Edison ... direct copy of the Swan". Last claim was contradicted by the paragraph previous to it and by this source so this looks like POV arguments taken to the article space. Basic heading structure also modified.
