Request on deleting unnecessary information[edit]

Good evening,

I bring up this topic because I see sufficient evidence that this article has way too much information and praises the person the article is about. I criticize the following:

1.) Early life and education: It is not necessary to know what the topic of his doctoral thesis was.

2.) Religion and religious commitments: It is not necessary to know that he met Bill Clinton by chance in 1999 (the photo is therefore unnecessary too) Why do we need to know that he "describes his father as the "greatest pedagogist he ever knew." The rest of this paragraph lists publications, memberships etc. This, in my opinion, is again too detailed.

3.) Professional life: Why do we need to know detailed information of his work, e.g. the "significant projects of Alemazung within the framework of the UN Agenda 2030" His role as a Senior Policy Officer at the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development in Berlin is nothing notable. There are hundreds, if not thousands of Senior Policy Officers in German Federal Ministries. It is not important where he was invited as a guest speaker.

4.) Politics: While it is completely fine to mention that he won the election, it seems unnecessary which slogans he used in his campaign The article mentions who gratulated him for winning the election. It is not unusual that other politicians gratulate someone who wins an election. Why would that information be useful for the reader? Also the press articles mentioned seem to be placed there to praise the person the Wikipedia article is about.

5.) Voluntary services and engagements: This paragraph again mentions things which are not notable and therefore should not be in the article.

6.) My general thoughts about the article: In my opinion, the article tries to paint an extremely positive picture of the person. The aim is to create the impression that the person has had a particularly extraordinary life path that is worthy of a Wikipedia article. From my point of view, it cannot be ruled out that the original author of the article was the person depicted himself. This is indicated, for example, by the photos in the article, which must come from the author's private environment. When considering this article, please also note that the person is the mayor of a small town in Germany with only 10,000 inhabitants. In comparison, the English-language Wikipedia article of the current mayor of Berlin (Kai Wegner) is significantly shorter. I therefore advocate that this article should be shortened significantly in order to comply with Wikipedia guidelines. Corrector2379 (talk) 22:29, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
