Engaged

Joyce DeWitt was once engaged to be married to television actor Randolph Mantooth. Citing philosophical differences, the two separated and were never wed.

I certainly seem to recall reading that Joyce in the '70s was engaged to actor Ray Buktenica, who played Brenda's boyfriend, Benny on RhodaJude86 06:33, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Family Guy Reference

What?! Another reference to Family Guy. Instead of six degrees of Kevin Bacon is this the new thing, relating everything back to Family Guy? There seem to be a substantial amount of articles in Wikipedia that have random Family Guy references. Even if they are true they still seem a bit odd. Does Family Guy relate to everything? Maybe Family Guy is the nexus of the universe.

It is for a certain group of Wikipedia editors. If it were mentioned on a show with a similar popularity that had a predominantly female audience it's unlikely to be recorded. Wikipedia has a serious issue with its lack of female editors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.74.156.65 (talk) 12:48, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

(Agree. Can someone please remove this reference?) --Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.131.99.42 (talk) 16:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Questionable content.

Please examine the following paragraph copied from the Joyce DeWitt article:

"She and her former Three's Company co-star Suzanne Somers have had an acrimonious relationship (caused by Somer's mid-season salary negotiation ploy in 1980) and, according to many sources, did not speak to each other for approximately twenty-three years, but have apparently made up following former co-star John Ritter's untimely death. But the truth is, it was due to Joyce's insatiable appetite for human flesh that was the cause of the rift. Also she allegedly threw a used tampon from a passing vehicle at Suzanne's head."

I suppose the first highlighted sentence should be removed immediately and the second needs to be verified.

"DeWitt"

It should be explained why she and her brother have the name "DeWitt" for publicity purposes while their legal last name is "Ittaglio." Mike H. That's hot 09:07, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Hm, a simple Google search turned up nothing. Her whole family seems to be named "DeWitt," and "Doug DeWitt" is a DeWitt all right, but not her brother. Mike H. That's hot 09:10, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

unfair edits

Seeing that all referenced bits about her recent DUI keep getting deleted, I have a feeling this article is being edited by biased individuals. Do they have a tag here for that? swain (talk) 02:18, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

I added an MSNBC source for the DUI arrest. George Bluth (talk) 02:26, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
You would be the third person to do so, I think; let's see if it stays this time. swain (talk) 15:12, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
If it's verifiable, I don't see why it shouldn't be included. Neutrality means presenting all reliable information, good and bad. Vicenarian (T * C) 15:14, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
poof, there it goes again. swain (talk) 07:04, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Johnny Carson - Henry Bushkin Connection

Henry Bushkin, the longtime lawyer to Johnny Carson, writes in his book that Carson kept trying to entice Joyce, not knowing that Bushkin was seriously interested in her. It created a comic situation for the Carson-Bushkin Las Vegas adventures.
