Miranda[edit]

I think it is fair to say that Miranda (which has won Best New Sitcom and several awards for its creator and star Miranda Hart) is now probably the most significant series May has directed. But I'm a friend of Miranda's so I hope what I've written is sufficiently NPOV to avoid CoI concerns. If I wasn't I'd put it more strongly. NBeale (talk) 19:14, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not born in 1966[edit]

I can say with a degree of certainty that Juliet May was not born in 1966. She was working at the BBC on the Oxford Roadshow as early as 1981, when she'd have been fifteen years old according to this date of birth. NotYourFathersOldsmobile (talk) 01:07, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed Juliet May's supposed year of birth as 1966. Her earliest credits on programmes which were nationally screened are certainly from the early-1980s, see the BFI website. Philip Cross (talk) 10:13, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Rish" or "Sutton"?[edit]

The obituary of Val May at the Guardian writes

May was appointed CBE in 1969. He is survived by his daughter Juliet, a television drama director, from his marriage, in 1955, to Penelope Sutton, and by his second wife, Petra Schroeder, whom he married in 1980, and their daughter, Kristina.

The mother's name is given as Sutton here but "(formerly Rish)" in the article. Which is correct? NotYourFathersOldsmobile (talk) 13:59, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
