Drug addiction at 12 years old[edit]

I know it's in print that "He first got hooked on drugs when he was barely 12 years old, he says". But this is rather vague. What drug(s) did he get addicted to when he was barely 12? How do we know he didn't make this up? Nurg (talk) 11:27, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good question, I'll check the source.--KeithbobTalk 14:36, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Godson?[edit]

I have never seen any reference to Townes being JTE's "godfather" until the last year, and I think it is being copied from here or from one review to another. I have never heard either Steve or JTE directly refer to Townes in this way, and have read many interviews with both. "Godson" has a specific religious meaning, which does not seem to apply and I have never seen reference to a christening. Also, JTE has said his mother hated Townes, and given Townes' character I think it is highly unlikely that Townes would have been named either godfather or potential guardian in the event of the death of Steve or Carol. Unless there is a reference where this term is actually used by JTE or another family member, I don't think it should be in the article. 75.186.30.144 (talk) 21:21, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the following External link as it appears to violate WP:ELNO #1. I leave the reference here, formatted for potential use in future article development, i.e. as a citation for encyclopedic content. --Animalparty! (talk) 03:27, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Subject of Jason Isbell's 'When We Were Close'[edit]

I don't know if there's an appropriate place to work this in as the article doesn't have a "In Popular Culture" section, but I found it interesting.
