Is it worth mentioning KIIS-FM's HD2 channel in Español? It also is in the movie Heat.

bad link[edit]

the link at the bottom of this page to the FCC database is incorrect, it links to a station in texas called KISS FM and not KIIS FM in los angeles. i couldn't find the link on the edit page so maybe someone else can do it?

ERP[edit]

The ERP (at 8,000 watts) appears extremely low compared with stations such as K-EARTH, especially considering that KIIS is as well-known as it is. Should someone try to find out why this is so and add to the article accordingly?

KIIS-FM transmits with the maximum facilities allowed for a class-B station on Mount Wilson. KRTH was built before the current power limits were enacted in 1964. Since both stations are class-Bs, the FCC considers them to be entitled to the same protection from interference, despite the difference in power. Presumably KIIS-FM was at one of the other transmitter sites in 1964 (I have no data -- perhaps Flint Peak in Glendale? or perhaps at the 570 site, since it was KLAC-FM at the time?) and so was not grandfathered when it moved up to Wilson. 121a0012 (talk) 04:12, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

KIIS-FM web[edit]

How come on here, the KIIS part was gold, and now it's blue?
Even on their website http://kiisfm.com, the KIIS is purple.
