Straight mile[edit]

Just wondering when the straight mile was introduced. The race was run around a turn until at least 1993. Tigerboy1966 10:21, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mentioned in commentary on C4 today, according to Jim McGrath there was some danger of a meeting being abandoned and the race was switched to the straight mile, where it has stayed since. --Bcp67 (talk) 19:20, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
