kaoma has a wonderful orphanage run by Ms. Rita Tumbila and sr mary vianney and other presentation sisters. sr angella works in the secondry school and is a wonderful person. the people of kaoma have an extremaly hard life but dispite this they are happy and optimistic.

TOUCH Ireland supports three projects in Kaoma which are: Judith House orphanage which was funded by TOUCH and opened in 2001, TOUCH also sponsors 60 of the children from the orphanage. Sepo Drop in Centre for street children which was funded by Touch and opened in 2004. Kaoma Hospital - Childrens Wing is being presently funded by TOUCH and will have its official opening in April/May 2007. [www.touchireland.org]
