Karthik Muthuraman → Karthik (actor) - He is better known as Karthik and he was never credited onscreen as "Karthik Muthuraman". So just like Vijay, Vikram and Suriya, it's good to have his screen name. --Commander _{(Ping Me)} 12:32, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Karthik (actor)[edit]

I think "Karthik (actor)" would be fine with the page as he is commonly known with the name. But isn't there a Bollywood actor by the name of Karthik?? Secret of success ^{Talk to me} 05:48, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Karthik's peaks[edit]

Alaigal Oivadhillai and Ninaivellam Nithya were before my time and so I cannot comment much. Solla Thudikkudhu Manasu probably got him established as the most sincere romantic hero of Dravidian background. In Nallavanukku Nallavan, he challenged Super Star Rajinikanth but it was obvious in the movie who was the main hero. I believe that Karthik's peak was in Varusham 16 movie because it was almost entirely dedicated to his storyline while people will always keep in their hearts his brief entry and exit in Mouna Raagam. In Idhaya Thamarai, he was Kama deva (the God of Desire) with "Oru Kadhal Devathai" Revathi. Amaran movie broke his mould as a romantic hero and made him an action hero (not for long). Agni Nakshathiram sustained his stardom. For Karthik-Revathi fans like me, perhaps Kizhakku Vaasal was the peak because only in this masala movie could he finally get together with her after tragic endings in movies like Mouna Ragam and Idhaya Thamarai. Gopura Vasalile was probably his last best performance as a youthful romantic hero with a sincere heart. Ullathai Alli Tha, Mettukudi, Gokulathil Seethai and Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen were the last few of his performances that kept audience still somewhat interested in him.
