Plot section cut[edit]

In this edit I cut the plot section because it's waaaaaaaaay too long. Also, there was another section labeled "Story" which seems to do what the plot section should be doing--painting a general overview of the shape of the series.

Per WP:TVPLOT, plot summaries should not exceed 500 words. As of this version, the plot section was 2300 words, which is (wait for it, wait for it) waaaaaaaaay too long. This isn't an arbitrary issue. Excessive plot summaries can be considered "derivative works", which presents potential copyright problems for Wikipedia. Further, if you look at this version of the talk page, there are comments from 2007 complaining about the ridiculous length of the plot. In this 2007 version it's 5200 words long.

So, if someone wants to try the flesh out the plot section again, I say go ahead, but 1) Focus on the general shape of the series, not episode-by-episode details and 2) Keep it under 500 words, please. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:31, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. SparklingPessimist Scream at me! 13:49, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
