Untitled[edit]

Kasper Schmeichel is a real goalkeeper for a premiership club, but this article is totally made up nonsense. --GraemeL 17:53, 18 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, have re-written and will find its entry on speedy-deletion page and explain Robdurbar 18:05, 18 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My revert[edit]

OK, so the image in the article isn't great, but it is far preferable to a photoshopped composite of questionable copyright status. Oldelpaso (talk) 20:20, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Danish[edit]

He does speak Danish right? I mean it says he grew up in England and speaks Portuguese as well (don't know why he speaks the latter but I assume Peter Smeichel married a Brazilian/Portuguese woman) Anyway, i think this article might need to mention he does speak Danish.

He speaks Portuguese because his father played for a Portuguese team. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.71.31.139 (talk) 17:47, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notts County[edit]

A very interesting move from Man City to Notts County. Fourth division? Seems that being the oldest club in the world has attracted foreign investment, the fact that Sven has become director of football looks like another of his deals with billionaire middle eastern tycoons. It seems they have high ambitions for the club and obviously aim to be promoted several leagues in the next few years, I can't see otherwise the thinking behind it. Anybody know anything? I can't speculate on the motivations of Munto Finance (aside from aiming for the Championship (second tier) within five years), but if you think Schmeichel's move to Notts County is a shock, you might find it interesting to read about Tommy Lawton, a 1940s player for whom then Third Division Notts County broke the national transfer record. Height Data[edit]

At present, Kasper Schmeichel's height is cited to the PFA. I propose adding a citation from Premier League (1.89m) and switching the display to metres first for the following reasons:

  • It would then be consistent with the usage of Premier League.
  • It would then be consistent with Danish usage. (Kasper Schmeichel is Danish.)

Are there any comments or concerns? Michael Glass (talk) 03:07, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Changed as per proposal.Michael Glass (talk) 03:45, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It is ridiculous to say Schmeichel height is 1.90 even if it says so on FIFA's player listing. He must be exaggerating it. It it has to be referenced by a google search there are many credible hits giving 1.89 and more less than 1.89 than above it. I don't believe he is 1.89 but certainly not taller. I had to revert your change as you left it without a source. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:54, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
