Notability[edit]

Notability is already stated by participation in Broadway productions and appearance on PBS in The Light in the Piazza, as well as coverage in The New York Times. Badagnani (talk) 19:03, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do not continue to delete this article without proper discussion and proof that she does not meet our notability guidelines. Badagnani (talk) 19:09, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Surely this article passes WP:ENTERTAINER? Booglamay (talk) 19:10, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How did the deleting editor become an admin? Surely we need to have more consideration for other editors and the community at large by at least discussing before deletion of articles on people who are actual Broadway actors, on PBS, and profiled in The New York Times. Badagnani (talk) 19:12, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That works two ways - you can't just go removing speedy deletion tags without discussing it first. Booglamay (talk) 19:13, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

However, we have been discussing, and sources have been provided. The deleting "admin" has done nothing of the sort, quite against our standard procedure, and without due deliberation and proper consideration of our community, which all admins (and all editors here, for that matter) must have. Badagnani (talk) 19:15, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you had gone about this in the proper manner, as you have finally done after being reported to WP:AIV for repeated violations, this would not have been a problem. Indeed, I would have likely removed the speedy-delete tag myself, given the references since added. All you had to do was post the hangon tag and we could discuss it in the prescribed way. Badagnani, you're not a newbie. You've been around here long enough to know how the process works. Don't claim ignorance of policy. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 19:22, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's clear what you had intended to do (and did). No discussion from you whatsoever (other than increasingly threatening messages at my talk page) until after the "vandalism report." That is not proper. Wikipedia is a place for collaborative editing, not a battleground. Badagnani (talk) 19:23, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Realkyhick - For what it's worth, it seems it was Wildthing61476 who added the {{hangon}} template - not Badagnani. Booglamay (talk) 19:24, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Earlier version deleted had been inserted by an s.p.a. who believes that every actor who's ever been in any production of Wicked should have their own article. This version is much better, and I've removed the tag. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:25, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this consideration. Badagnani (talk) 19:26, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I removed the speedy-delete tag myself. (No, wait - Orangemike beat me to it after all. Darn edit conflicts!) The references added since my tagging clearly get this article out of speedy territory, though notability is still a little on the weak side in my opinion. However, Badagnani, you were clearly out of line here. You're not a Wikipedia newbie, some I'm not cutting you any slack. You repeatedly and blatantly violated Wikipedia rules that you are already familiar with, or should be. If you had followed proper procedure, thia would have been stelled much earlier. But you did not, and I trust disciplinary action will follow, as it has with you in the past. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 19:34, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This discussion page is for discussion related to improving this article. Threatening messages do not belong here, and are not tolerated by Wikipedia, which is a place for collaborative editing, not a battleground or a place to undermine others' contributions. Badagnani (talk) 19:43, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You keep erasing the messages left on your talk page, which means you are apparently not willing to "discuss" until someone forces you to. Because you erase your messages, I am forced to leave you messages here. Your disruptive actions leave me no choice. I am not trying to undermine anything here, just follow proper Wikipedia policy, with which you appear to have little regard until you are reported for misconduct. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 20:04, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
