External links not available[edit]

In the 14 January 2020 version Special:PermaLink/935805397#External links the first two links do not work for me.

The first one http://www.ctba.com/legislation/feb22.htm opens a webpage, but it displays the HTTP 404 error, “couldn't find the content you were looking for”.

The second one http://archive.ctba.com/00magazine/mar00/news3.htm is not even defined – the browser says 'ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED', the name can not be translated to an IP address.

Can anybody check if there is an actual problem with access? Maybe it's just something in my corner of the Web...

Anyway, the ctba.com is a Web domain name for California Thoroughbred Breeders Association and I wonder whether it is an appropriate expansion (and reliable enough) for State Assembly and State Senate member's bio. Our Wikipedia:External links guidleines say in the #What to link section:

There are several things that should be considered when adding an external link.
  • Is the site content accessible to the reader?
  • Is the site content proper in the context of the article (useful, tasteful, informative, factual, etc.)?
  • Is the link functioning and likely to remain functional?

and I'm afraid the Breeders Association does not necessarily fit the second rule. My experience summarized above seems to show the site does not fulfill the first and third condition, either... --CiaPan (talk) 10:08, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
